Worship with us.

Weekly on Sundays

Join us.

Come as you are and however you are to hear Good News full of promise and hope and to meet real people who will be glad that you joined them. They were new here once, too.

Our church services are on Sundays at 9:00 am and 10:30 am onsite, and 10:30 am online.

We want you to feel welcome and at home and know that your first time at a church -- any church -- brings up some questions. So ask us anything! E-mail us at info@westsidelutheran.com. But we do offer some answers to some FAQ’s below.

What to Expect.

FAQs

  • There’s really nothing you need to do before coming, but you may find it helpful to visit wslc.info. This lets you see what’s happening in worship, what events are coming up, sign up for groups and activities, and more. Add it to your device's home screen to access it anytime!

  • In-person church services at WestSide are for all ages, so expect a worship service that adapts to the needs of multi-generations. There are busy bags for little hands and comfortable seats for tired legs. You'll sit next to some folks who have been coming to church their whole lives and others who are walking into a church for the first time ever or in maybe decades.

Online church services happen live and include opportunities to use the comments section to do things like greet others and share prayers. Even online, you are part of a community, where you matter.

The service itself is an uncomplicated time, rooted in a traditional pattern of worship that includes song, prayer, scripture, Christ-centered preaching, and sacraments. At its simplest, it's a time for sinners to hear Good News, something we all need.

  • We’re more interested in meeting you than with what you wear to church. Some dress up, lots dress down. Whatever works for you, is great with us!

  • WestSide Lutheran is located at 3901 N Oklahoma Ave, Sioux Falls SD 57107, at the corner of Benson and Marion Roads with the entrance on Oklahoma Ave. Click here for directions.

  • We continue to live with COVID-19 as an ever-present reality. Mindful of the CDC’s recommendations regarding masking and social distancing, the WestSide Congregation Council has set a plan of continuing to meet in person and online, entrusting every person and family to manage their life and engagement in ways that feel safe and appropriate for them. Masks, of course, are not required but are welcome and encouraged, especially for those who have not been vaccinated. We will have masks and hand sanitizer abundantly available.
