Strategic Authenticity: Making A Great First Impression On Guests To Your Church

9:00 am - 12:00 pm
WestSide Lutheran, Sioux Falls
(map)

A three-hour clinic for church greeters, ushers, hospitality volunteers, and all friendly people.

Scott Vaughan is a professional public speaker, combining straightforward thinking, story-telling, humor and common sense to help church leaders better understand communication in today's culture. He also has great passion for the mission of the church to connect people to Jesus and helps participants see how communications and hospitality ministries like greeting and ushering, welcome booths and coffee windows, are participants in that mission. Bring your leadership and hospitality teams to a unique training that will energize your volunteers to see themselves as an important and essential part of your church’s mission.

Monday, October 14

Communications Workshop for church leaders and communicators

9:00 am - 12:00 pm
First Lutheran, Sioux Falls
(map)

Scott explores the "Communications Puzzle" with pastors and church staff, deeply looking at the relationship between outgoing communication, engaging those who respond, building database, and follow-up strategies with guests. He will also share insights on communication management and budgeting for communications. Scott also plans to share his own personal promotion formula that can be applied to church events - like Vacation Bible School, Lent and Advent seasons, and even the monthly Men's Breakfast. You will learn how great communication strengthens relationships, which helps the missional efforts of the church.
